Destination Wedding DJ Australia
Hunter Valley · Blue Mountains · Southern Highlands · South Coast
Getting married out of Sydney? Keep the DJ and MC you trust. We travel to regional NSW venues with full sound and lighting, plan around curfews, power and weather, and run your reception exactly as we would in the city.
Plan Your Destination Wedding
Tell us your date, venue and timings, and the Pro DJs Australia team will get back to you shortly.
Your Sydney DJ and MC, wherever you say “I do”
A wedding in the vineyards, the mountains or on the coast is worth the drive. The last thing you want is to hand the biggest night of your life to a supplier you’ve never met.
Pro DJs Australia travels to regional NSW venues with the same sound, lighting and team we bring to our Sydney weddings. You plan with us in person or online, we look after the travel and set-up, and your guests get the night you planned, not a scaled-down version of it.
Your wedding is led by owner John Koukoulas, who has been DJing and MCing weddings for more than 30 years, in English and Greek.

How a destination wedding works with us
A regional wedding needs a little more planning than one in the city. Here’s how we take care of it.
- Check your date and venueSend us your date and venue. We confirm availability and look at the travel, set-up access and any venue rules.
- Plan the day togetherWe go through your run sheet, music and announcements with you, in person or by video call, just as we would for a Sydney wedding.
- Venue checkBefore the day we confirm power, the ceremony and reception spaces, the wet-weather plan, and the venue’s noise limits and finish time.
- Travel and set-upWe arrive with plenty of time to set up and sound-check before guests do. For early ceremonies or longer drives, we’ll talk through travelling the day before.
- Ceremony to last danceCeremony music, your MC and DJ for the reception, and the dance floor, all run from one run sheet.
- Pack-downWe pack down within the venue’s schedule and head home, so the only thing you need to think about is the after-party.
Questions to ask a regional venue
Vineyards, estates and coastal venues often have rules that city venues don’t. Ask these early and your entertainment will be much easier to plan.
- Is there a noise limit or a hard finish time for music?
- Is there power close to the ceremony spot and the dance floor?
- What’s the wet-weather plan, and is it a different room?
- When can suppliers get in to set up, and where do we unload?
- Is there accommodation nearby for suppliers who travel?
- Are effects like cold sparks, dry ice or confetti allowed?
More in our guide: questions to ask your wedding venue about entertainment.

What affects the price of a destination wedding DJ
Every destination wedding is quoted individually. The main things that change the price are:
- Your package and the number of hours
- The distance and travel time to your venue
- Accommodation, if an overnight stay is needed
- Extra set-up, such as a separate ceremony location or an outdoor site
- Extras like lighting, effects or a photo booth
Once we know your venue and timings, we’ll send a clear, itemised quote. Our DJ & MC wedding packages are the starting point.

John was so easy to hire silent disco headphones from - he couldn’t have been more helpful! Answered all my questions and went out of his way to make the whole process of pick up and return as easy as possible. Would highly recommend and I will certainly be hiring from him again in futurePosted on Google![]()

John was recommended to us from a friend and right from the first contact we knew he was the right DJ for us. He is such a warm and caring person that was very focused on making sure that our night was to be a night to remember for years to come! He went over and above for us, and on the night he had a full dance floor from the first song until the last! He was friendly with everyone and their requests were never too much trouble. He ran the night professionally but with a warmth that made him feel like one of our guests. Thank you John for all the effort you put into making our night that fantastic night that it was!Posted on Google![]()

Best decision I ever made and the most important one (apart from marrying my husband 😉) 🥰 We love dancing and were so nervous to have the best DJ. If you are like us, John and Pro DJs Australia is the choice. John is amazing at not only reading a crowd and perfectly designing the music to suit you as a couple but also mixing and mashing up tracks which was key for me. There were no awkward pauses or fade outs and everyone said it was the best dancefloor they had ever been on at a wedding. John also went above and beyond on the night and got a cushion for my husband to make him more comfortable, he checked on our parents, did crowd work and answered questions from guests so we didn't have to. Also his Vibo app is AMAZING!!!! if you love planning like me and are a type A bride this app is great and links to your Spotify playlists and helps communicate your overall vision for the day - which John will perfectly execute 😘👌 Thank you so much John, you truly have the most lovely, joyous and relaxing energy that made us want you from the start 🥰Posted on Google![]()

The whole team at Pro DJs was so fantastic to work with! From the very first email, John was helpful and attentive to every request or question we had. The planning process was so easy as John took care of every detail and kept us in the loop at all times. We had DJ Rick at my 21st and he absolutely killed it. His playlist was exactly the vibes we were going for and he kept the energy going all night long. We had so much fun — definitely recommend!Posted on Google![]()

We contacted John based on the reviews we saw on Google. It was a decision well made. From the point of contact to the event itself he communicated with my family and myself helping us create an amazing celebration. John supplied a Photo Booth and an assistant to accompany it. This wasn’t an ordinary one. It was like a Giant Magic Mirror. All of our guests had photos done and it worked for all age groups. John is a listener and very proactive. He never keeps you waiting on an answer and is not pushy in the least. My 70th Celebration went off really well as John read the crowd and played music that enticed all age groups to stay on the dance floor. He also knew how to use music on introducing the speeches and the birthday cake ceremony. It was a great night and it was lovely feeling so comfortable in the hands of a professional! Thank you John for helping me and my family create memories!Posted on Google![]()

Thank you Nick (and John!) It was so easy to work with both of you for our wedding - you knew all the right questions to ask to make sure we had everything we needed, and provided guidance and support along the way (and even playlists!). Nick was so accommodating and worked with our saxophonist, and we had feedback from the guests that they loved the dancefloor and the music - there were great transitions and the lights provided made it so fun. Nick also dressed to fit in - wore a suit (and not a tshirt and jeans!). Thank you soooo much Nick and John!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Destination wedding DJ questions
Do you travel outside Sydney for weddings?
Yes. We regularly travel to the Hunter Valley, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands, the Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong, and further afield in NSW. Send us your venue and date and we’ll confirm.
Is there an extra cost for travel?
Usually, yes. Travel time, distance and any overnight accommodation are built into your quote, so there are no surprises. We’ll itemise it once we know your venue.
Do you bring your own sound and lighting?
Yes. We bring the same professional sound and lighting we use at Sydney weddings, so you don’t need to rely on the venue’s system.
Can you look after the ceremony as well as the reception?
Yes. We can provide ceremony music and sound and then move to the reception. See wedding ceremony music.
What if our venue has a noise limit?
We work to it. We check the venue’s limits and finish time before the day and plan the night around them. For strict limits, a silent disco keeps the party going.
Can we meet you before the wedding?
Yes. We plan every wedding with you before the day, in person or by video call, so you know exactly who will be running your night.
Can John MC our wedding in Greek?
Yes. John MCs in English and Greek. See wedding MC.
Do you do weddings interstate or overseas?
Talk to us about your plans. For weddings overseas, see our international wedding DJ page.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as your date and venue are confirmed. Popular Saturdays book out first, and destination weddings need a little extra planning time.
